Douglas Fir Nuggets is the only bark mulch that Top Spray does not produce. Instead we import it from B.C. to complement our mulch offerings.
Douglas Fir Nuggets are available in a small size (1-2 inches) in Cochrane. Our Edmonton site offers both small and medium size (2-4 inch) Douglas Fir Nuggets. This reddish brown decorative mulch offers good ground cover for high end landscape projects. As these are nuggets and not a shredded mulch, there is little fines and no shredded pieces therefore weed suppression and water retention is good, but may not compare to our popular Foothills Premium mulch.
Nuggets tend to decompose slower than shredded bark mulch requiring less maintenance. Douglas Fir Nuggets is a neutral bark mulch and safe to use on all flower and tree beds. Douglas Fir Nuggets are available in both Edmonton and Cochrane for Blower Truck application, bulk delivery, landscaper and residential pickup. Available in bags (28L) or by the pail in Cochrane only.
